I remember so many nice moments from all the times I met Giovanni. When I came to stay in New York for a few years and also during my later visits, his restaurants were always a second home for me, where I could rest after a long day in the city. And I was always spoilt with drinks and good food. He always remembered how much I liked seafood and especially clams. I remember one visit, when he brought a huge lot of them home. They were delicious! And in Tramonti he arranged such wonderful dinners in Maori and Ravallo. He was a great cook and a so very generous and caring man. He will live on in my memories and I feel so very much for his family.
