Turn the oven to hot (400 F// 200 C sounds right).

Lay out the peppers in an even layer, making sure not to over crowd the pan. Toss with enough olive oil to coat the peppers.

Sprinkle with bread crumbs & Parmigiano-Reggiano. Season with salt & pepper.

Roast until the tops have turned golden and the peppers have a nice scorch on the bottom.
